ABOUT STEP CHAPTER: SG
With the support of its Sunburst Scholars and SYC alumni, STEP established STEP Chapter: SG in 2010. Since its inception, the Chapter has garnered an inspiring level of support. The Chapter is 100% run by volunteers and fully supported by STEP.
In 2011, the Chapter officially kicked off its community projects by embarking on a 3-year project with Boys' Town to help the underprivileged boys in the area, in aspects of:
a) Leadership, Inter-personal and social skills
b) Technical Skills such as cooking, baking, videography and dance.
c) Academic skills through the provision of weekly tuition.
Coming into our 6th year, the Chapter has enjoyed a wonderful working relationship with the staff and Boys of Boys' Town. Aside from our Boys' Town Project, the Chapter has started to spread its wings by starting other community programmes in Singapore, and around the region.
